Founded in 2018 by award-winning writer and producer Jessica L. Funches,  Salt Pictures celebrates the transformative power of storytelling to enrich our lives and illuminate our shared humanity. With over 20 years of experience producing television, indie films, and digital media, Jessica named her company for the essential element that enhances every dish it touches. Like salt, our narratives awaken the senses, heighten understanding, and reveal the extraordinary in everyday experiences. Our mission is to craft stories that linger on the palate of the mind long after the final frame.

Jessica brings a unique combination of creative vision and business acumen through her MFA from the University of Southern California’s Peter Stark Producing Program and MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. This dual expertise ensures Salt Pictures develops projects that are not only creatively compelling but fiscally responsible—allowing us to take strategic creative risks while delivering maximum impact.
